IBE participated in fulfilling the wish of a boy who suffers from Leukemia by purchasing the telescope that was placed outside his 14-foot ball shaped hideaway in his backyard.
The boys father was in the process of building a playhouse for his son last year when he suffered a heart attack himself, rendering him incapable of finishing the construction project for his son. The Make-A-Wish Foundation stepped in and took over the project.
The round hideaway was designed by RTKL and constructed by Turner Construction in a short 2-week timeframe and cost approximately $75,000 to build. Amenities include an xbox 360, a Telescope, flat screen television, and a DVD player.
