This project included the construction of a new 32,947-SF science
building, with 1930’s Spanish revival architecture, Type II – Steel
Frame Building, 2-story, with 110- seat lecture auditorium, 7 state-of-the-art science labs that can accommodate 192 students, 16 faculty offices, two conference rooms, one computer lab, a 1,200-SF reading garden, digital systems, fiber optic internet/network connections, and elevator.
Included in the building are 22 fume hoods along the lab room
perimeter and fixed handicapped stations in the interior of lab rooms.
Office spaces are naturally ventilated. Laboratory and classroom
spaces utilize natural daylight. |
