This project includes the design and construction of an 85,000 SF college laboratory building. This new laboratory and classroom facility houses teaching facilities, lecture halls, laboratories, administrative spaces, and storage rooms. Teaching laboratories contain Biology, Chemistry, Nursing, Dental Technology, Radiological Technology, and classroom spaces for the teaching of sciences. This 3-story, 80,000 sq. ft. building also has a partial roof deck for telescopic equipment and teaching space associated with these studies.
Los Angeles City College has identified a Silver USGBC LEED ® Certification goal for this project. The construction cost is estimated
at $25 million and was completed in 2006.
