IBE Consulting Engineers in Paris, France
Sherman Oaks, CA – February 3rd, 2008
IBE Consulting Engineers (Ideas for the Built Environment) is pleased to announce that we have started an office in France. The office will be located in Paris.
IBE is known for innovation in building design and applying practical design
techniques within building construction.
The company will be operated by directors Jacques De Pastre, John Gautrey,
and Alan Locke and will have a close relationship with IBE in the United
States of America. Day-to-day management will be the responsibility of
Jacques and Alan.
Our aim in France is to bring another opportunity to the design and
construction process, to break down the barriers of codes, to ask the
question “why not”, to push the envelope of our design process and industry,
and to bring sustainability to the forefront of our discussions on each
project.
With that commitment to our friends in France, we have now secured a number
of projects with French architects in the States and in Europe that we fully
intend to serve to the best of our abilities. One of these projects is the
Phare Tower – in partnership with one of the largest local Paris engineering
companies, SETEC Bâtiment and Los Angeles based design architect Morphosis.
We are also proud to announce that on February 3rd, 2008 IBE France started
work on the Louis Vuitton Museum Project. The architect is Frank Gehry from
Los Angeles with Executive Architect, Studios, France. We are also working
with Jean Nouvel on a major project in Los Angeles.
This is a big but very important step for IBE Consulting Engineers. We trust
you will support us in this important venture as we will always support you.
