Bringing a safe, reliable drinking water system back to Jackson, Mississippi

January 17, 2024

Residents and businesses in Jackson, Mississippi, have struggled for years with unreliable water supply and aging infrastructure. A crisis point hit when the city experienced a flood event in 2022.

Stantec is working with JXN Water to design improvements and repair the water system for long-term stability. The team is developing a GIS and digital map of the entire system. Stantec is also developing a water service line inventory, designing and engineering system repairs and improvements, and identifying and repairing leaks.

The water system improvements will help bring safe, reliable water supply and drinking water back to the people, schools, and businesses in Jackson.
